Life365Hub — Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 11th, 2026
1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Life365Hub! The Life365Hub website (life365hub.com) and application (app.life365hub.com) (collectively, the “Service”) are operated by The Sealed Vault, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Service. By accessing or using Life365Hub, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the Service.
Life365hub is a secure, zero-knowledge, private record of a person’s life journey, stories, milestones, gallery, and legacy documented by the user and preserved as a lasting legacy for generations. All content is fully encrypted on your device before reaching our servers - we cannot read your vault contents.
By creating an account or using Life365Hub, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization or person to these Terms.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SERVICE. Thank you.
2. Description of Service
Life365Hub is a secure, private, zero-knowledge personal archive. The service lets you store journal entries, photos, videos, documents, and life milestones in a form that is encrypted on your own device before it is ever sent to our servers. We built it this way deliberately: we genuinely cannot read your content, and we designed the service so that this remains true even if we wanted it not to be.
Life365Hub provides the following core functionality:
- Creation of encrypted vaults.
- Secure storage of your personal notes, pictures, documents, audio and video files.
- Encrypted Passphrase created completely on your device or browser.
- Private sharing of vault data and legacy.
- Export capability of your vault.
3. Account Registration and Access Control
- You must provide and verify a valid email address to create an account. We do not verify your identity beyond this.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe.
Because Life365Hub is zero-knowledge, your password is the only thing that can unlock your data — we cannot see it, and we cannot reset it for you. If you forget your password and have not set up escrow recovery, your data is PERMANENTLY unrecoverable. This is a deliberate architectural tradeoff, not an oversight, and it is disclosed to you again at signup and throughout the service. You are therefore solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and safekeeping of your password and account authentication credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years of age per applicable law to create an account.
- You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs within your account.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Encryption & Data Security
- Your journal entries, photos, videos, documents, and other stored content are encrypted on your device before upload. We store only the resulting ciphertext. We do not have the technical ability to decrypt it, and we do not attempt to.
- We do see, and must see, certain plain information necessary to operate the service: your verified email address, account creation date, which storage tier you’re on, and basic billing status. This is described fully in our Privacy Policy.
- Search within the app happens entirely on your own device, against your own decrypted content. We never receive your search queries.
- While we implement top-notch industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You acknowledge this inherent risk.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use Life365Hub app to:
- Store data and information you do not have the right to store, transmit or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory or obscene.
- Violate any applicable local, national or international laws or regulations.
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ account.
- Facilitate fraud, identity theft or other criminal activity.
- Publish or submit any content to The Living Gallery page of the website that we reasonably deem inappropriate, unlawful, abusive, or harmful.
- Abuse via the sharing mechanism for harassment, spam, or similar, reported by a recipient.
- Engage in infrastructure-level abuse or misuse; including any of our third parties infrastructure.
- Access or use the service from any jurisdiction subject to U.S. sanctions or export restrictions, or in violation of applicable U.S. or international export laws.
Because we cannot see your content, we generally cannot proactively monitor for violations of this section — but we reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts we become aware are being used in violation of these terms or applicable law. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate such accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
6. Data Ownership & Content
You retain full ownership of all content you store on Life365Hub. Because your content is encrypted before reaching our servers, we cannot access, read, modify or use your vault contents for any purpose. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and transmit your encrypted data solely for the purpose of providing the service.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Your encrypted vault data is stored on Neon database, Cloudflare R2 servers for encrypted media storage and Vercel application hosting. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may close your account and request permanent deletion at any time from your Account Security page. Upon request, your account and vault data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. You may cancel this request at any time before deletion completes. You may delete individual items within a vault at any time from the application. Deleted items move to Trash, where they remain recoverable for 30 days. You may restore an item from Trash at any time during that window. After 30 days, items in Trash are automatically and permanently deleted.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep Life365Hub available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to perform maintenance, upgrades or circumstances beyond our reasonable control including third party infrastructure issues. In rare cases, we may need to suspend service for security or legal reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of anything that materially affects your access to your own data.
9. Subscription Fees & Billing, Storage Quota, Account Inactivity Policy
Life365Hub offers a Free tier and paid tiers (Plus, Pro, Legacy). Access to paid tiers of the Service, each with a defined storage limit, is subject to monthly or annual Subscription Fees as set forth at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise agreed, Subscription Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe may offer Stripe Link, an optional feature for saving payment details across Stripe merchants for faster future checkout. If you choose to use Link, your saved payment information is managed by Stripe under Stripe’s Link Terms. Receipts and payment confirmations may reference “Link” as the payment method even when a credit or debit card was used. We do not see or store your full payment card details — that information is handled entirely by Stripe.
Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Refunds. Subscription Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time. Plan upgrades and downgrades made through Stripe are prorated automatically. Contact sales@life365hub.com with any billing concern.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your account, or by contacting us at contact@life365hub.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep full access until then. After that, your account reverts to the Free tier.
Failed payments. If we are unable to process a recurring payment or your subscription lapses, a 90-day grace period begins immediately. You will retain full read-only access to view and download your existing data. Automatic backups and new file uploads are immediately suspended. You may restore full service at any time during this period by updating your payment details.
Price changes. Prices and fees may change at the time of the next renewal upon reasonable prior notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You are responsible for any applicable taxes and statutory fees associated with your subscription. Custom plans above 500 GB are available by contacting sales@life365hub.com.
10. Extended Over-Quota Period (Day 91 to Year 3)
If your subscription is not restored or downgraded to a compliant tier after 90 days:
Account Status: Your account enters an Extended Over-Quota state. Automatic backups and new uploads remain permanently blocked.
Data Access: All existing data remains accessible for viewing and manual export.
System Admin messaging: We will send periodic email updates to the primary account owner regarding account status, steps to export excess data, and options to reactivate full service.
If an account remains continuously over quota for three (3) consecutive years:
Formal Suspension: The account will be formally suspended, and written notices will be sent via email to the primary account owner and any designated trusted contact on file.
Final Download Window: During this suspension period, the account owner or their trusted contacts will be granted a final opportunity to manually download excess data exceeding the Free tier limit or reactivate the account by upgrading to an appropriate storage tier.
Final Storage Enforcement & Excess Data Management: Following the 3-year suspension notice, if no action is taken to resolve the account balance or reduce stored storage to fit within the complimentary tier; a final warning will be sent to the account owner and trusted contact. Storage capacity will be permanently restricted to the standard free tier limit. Any data exceeding the complimentary quota may be archived or made permanently inaccessible at the discretion of the company to bring the account into compliance with free tier limits.
11. Private Sharing of Content
You may choose to share specific content privately with others via a private share link or share with the public via publishing to the Living Gallery on life365hub website. Nothing is shared unless you explicitly create a share link. You control whether a link expires, and whether it can be viewed more than once or made permanent. The decryption key for a shared item is embedded in the link itself, in a part of the URL that is never sent to our servers — meaning we cannot see the content of what you share, even when you choose to share it. The full URL, key included, typically gets saved locally on the device used to access the link. Anyone with access to that specific device browser profile could see whatever you shared there. This browser behavior is inherent of any web browser and not a security breach.
12. Legacy and Trusted Contacts
Life365Hub includes an optional feature that lets you designate “trusted contacts” who may, under specific conditions, help preserve access to your account after an extended period of inactivity. This is genuinely optional and off by default. If you choose to use it:
- A trusted contact must already have their own Life365Hub account, and must EXPLICITLY ACCEPT the role — you cannot designate someone without their knowledge or consent.
- If you opt into “escrow,” your Account Key is split using a cryptographic technique (Shamir’s Secret Sharing) across our servers, your own downloaded recovery sheet, and your trusted contacts. No single party, including us, ever holds enough pieces to reconstruct your key alone.
- If your account shows no login activity for an extended period, a multi-stage process begins: a grace period, followed by a requirement that a threshold of your trusted contacts confirm before anything proceeds, followed by a further cooling-off period. Logging back in at any point before the final stage cancels the entire process automatically.
- If the process completes, accepted trusted contacts may reconstruct access to your account. This grants full read access to your archive. The access is READ-ONLY — it cannot be used to edit, delete, or further share your content.
- You can revoke active legacy access at any time while it is active, which blocks any further access going forward. This cannot undo anything a trusted contact already viewed during that window.
- You may add, remove, or decline trusted contact roles at any time from within the Service.
13. Force Majeure
Life365Hub shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, fire, flood, earthquake, power outages, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, governmental actions, internet or hosting infrastructure failures, or acts of regulatory authorities (a “Force Majeure Event”). We will use commercially reasonable efforts to resume normal operations and will notify users of significant outages where possible. If a Force Majeure Event continues for more than thirty (30) consecutive days, either party may terminate affected obligations upon written notice.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Life365Hub and The Sealed Vault, LLC and it’s operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of access to your data or vault contents resulting from a forgotten password where no recovery method was configured — given the nature of zero-knowledge design.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Life365Hub, The Sealed Vault LLC and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms or infringement of any third-party rights.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the liability. The foregoing limitation shall not apply to liability for death, personal injury, fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct, where prohibited by law.
17. Modifications to the Service & Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect.
18. Data Protection & Privacy
Data Processing Addendum (DPA). To the extent that Life365Hub processes any Personal Data (as defined in the GDPR) on your behalf in the provision of the Service, the terms of the Data Processing Addendum (“DPA”) shall apply and are hereby incorporated by reference into these Terms. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the DPA, the DPA shall prevail solely with respect to the processing of such Personal Data.
GDPR & CCPA Compliance. To the extent that The Sealed Vault processes Personal Data protected by the GDPR or CCPA, the parties agree to the terms of the DPA, which includes Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure adequate protection for international data transfers.
19. Third-Party Services
Life365Hub is built on Neon database for hosting, Cloudflare R2 for encrypted media storage, Vercel for application hosting, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for email verification and are governed by these third parties own terms of service and privacy policy. By using our Service, you also agree to be bound by these third party’s applicable terms. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services used to operate the Service.
20. General Provisions
These Terms, together with the DPA and any referenced policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Life365Hub regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject matter. In the event of any conflict, the order of priority shall be: (i) the DPA, (ii) these Terms, (iii) any referenced policies.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired.
Waiver. No delay or failure by either party to exercise any right under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right or any other right. Any waiver of a breach of any provision shall not be construed as a waiver of any subsequent or other breach.
Survival. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including those relating to confidentiality, intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — shall survive termination or expiration of these Terms.
21. Account Suspension and Termination for Violations; Data Portability
This section governs suspension or termination resulting from a violation of these Terms or applicable law. It does not apply to storage-related account states arising from non-payment or exceeding your plan’s storage limit, which are governed separately under Section 9 (“Subscription Fees & Billing, Storage Quota, Account Inactivity Policy”).
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, we may first issue a warning restricting your ability to publish to The Living Gallery, create new share links, or invite new trusted contacts, while your login access and private archive remain fully available. For more serious violations, or where a warning is not resolved, we may suspend or terminate your account.
Upon suspension or termination for a violation, your access to Life365Hub’s standard applications will be revoked. However, consistent with our commitment to your ownership of your data, you will retain a thirty (30) day window from the effective date to export your personal archive, using the same data export feature available to all Life365Hub members at any time. Because Life365Hub operates on a zero-knowledge architecture, our servers store only encrypted ciphertext and do not possess the keys required to decrypt or package your information on your behalf — exporting your archive requires your own password, and all decryption happens locally in your own browser.
After this 30-day window, your ability to export data will be permanently disabled, and all associated encrypted data and account records will be deleted. We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate any account without prior notice in cases of severe infrastructure abuse, active security threats, or compliance with applicable law or binding legal orders.
22. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of no less than 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in New York, NY under the rules of one of the following arbitration bodies, at the election of the claimant:
- American Arbitration Association (AAA) — www.adr.org
- Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) — www.jamsadr.com
- National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) — www.namadr.com
- SSAM Alternative Dispute Resolution — www.ssamadr.com
The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this section shall prevent either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction in New York.
